What is a General Meeting?
We hear report backs from each working group, any updates from individuals and discuss and make decisions regarding broader issues for the group.
Bring your report backs, ideas and agenda points.
Media & Messaging
Absolutely everyone is welcome to come to our meetings—many people come alone, don’t know anybody, and have never gone to an Extinction Rebellion meeting before. Everyone gets a chance to meet everybody. We’re all friendly, but we also recognise that we’re imperfect products of an imperfect system and actively challenge ourselves to be radically inclusive.
The Induction into Extinction Rebellion is a great place to get started, learn about our online organising platforms, mass mobisation strategy, and working groups. The Induction is at 5pm in the same location as the General Meeting. Starting an hour beforehand and runs until the General meeting with time for a short break. Come along and find out what you can do to help.
Online link to join the induction and general meeting will also be posted in the event discussion around 5pm.
Please exercise caution: Physically distance and wear a mask if necessary. If you are sick stay home and join online.
Our meetings take place on the stolen lands of the Jagera, Turrbal, Yuggera and Yugarabul peoples of Meanjin (now known as Brisbane) and surrounds, whose sovereignty over their land was never ceded.
