Wildness can be found anywhere; it is within and around each of us. Life consists of wildness, and the most alive is the wildest. Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and do it because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
We now live in a time in which some humans’ actions have wrought destruction on a global scale. Modern cultural assumption that humans are somehow separate from and superior to other life has been a major contributing factor to what we are now experiencing as the Earth’s sixth mass extinction. Power over others, which is untethered from natural systems and a lack of appreciation for all life’s beauty, has developed into systems of control, domination, trauma, and exploitation.
Join Yin Paradise (https://www.deakin.edu.au/about-deakin/people/yin-paradies) for a circle on wilding as decolonisation.
Once registered participants are requested to read this document https://xrb.link/ke04XL69Zv and engage in one or more of the listed activities; to note their reflections for discussion at the circle.
The Wilding as Decolonisation circle was organised in collaboration with Global Support Trainings and the Regen 101 program.
